Services Design Solution (SDS) place environmental sustainability, employee support, and work in the local community at the heart of our business operations. Our activities received special praise when we were awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development. What stood out for the awarding panel was how we have embedded social value targets within our strategy.

In addition to each employee being able to donate pro-bono time and volunteer for social value projects, SDS donates at least 1% of its annual turnover to provide financial support to local communities. Over the last few months, we have targeted those suffering in our community during the cost of living crisis in the lead up to Christmas. From donating food hampers to the homeless, to organising book advents calendars for children who may be spending the festive season in hospital. Everyone deserves to feel loved this Christmas.

We’re committed to protecting ecology and doing our part to reduce the UK’s impact on climate change. We have been net carbon neutral since 2019 and provide our clients with advice on the most sustainable systems to support their built environment. We also provide free sustainability and carbon emissions advice for public organisations such as Somerset Council; offer careers talks at local schools and universities and have designed work experience programmes for young people.
