Celebrating National Fitness Day
25th Sep, 2019
To celebrate ‘National Fitness Day’ and continue our wellbeing aim for the business, the SDS offices have been taking part in various activities over the last few days.
The day, celebrated nationally, is a chance to highlight the role physical activity plays across the UK, helping raise awareness of its importance in helping us lead healthier and active lifestyles.
In Exeter, the team were joined by Nick Wells, professional trainer, of Fitness First who delivered a presentation called “Desk proof”. It was really well received. We talked about the importance of sitting correctly, moving and stretching through the day, we now plan to introduce this more into our daily routines. We followed this with a healthy vegan team lunch.
In Bristol, the team welcomed Nuffield Gym who undertook a 15 minute health MOT followed by a delicious, but healthy lunch. Sam White and Tom Bradley decided on a plank challenge and managed 9 ½ minutes, Sam crumbled first!
The Plymouth office will be celebrating on 3 October, so look out for an update on what they get up to! For more information on the initiative, and how to get involved, please click here.
