Helping local people in crisis

Last week, our Exeter team spent the afternoon with the Exeter Foodbank Sorting Team, working at their warehouse in Kennford. The foodbank provides three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people. Last year they supported families with 6,860 food parcels.

The team helped sort the food donations that come in before it is made into parcels for their clients to collect or to get distributed to destinations across Exeter.

The Foodbank team were grateful of our help as they have many roll cages of sorting to get through and at times it is difficult to keep on top of the demand. Exeter Foodbank relies on the goodwill and support of local people – if you would like to donate items, please refer to their priority list detailing the items they currently need, including donation points.
