Royal Marines Commando Challenge – Sponsor SDS

29th Aug, 2017

Despite the mud, cold and wet of last year, SDS are once again entering a team into the Royal Marines Commando Challenge at Lympstone on Saturday 14th October.

Taking part in the 10k ‘Courage’ course, the group of 6 will tackle obstacles named ‘The Crocodile Pit’, ‘Peter’s Pool’ and the infamous ‘Sheep Dip’. The team is made up of SDS engineers: Mark Plant, David Masters, Steve Griffiths, Martin Jackson, Aniruth Raghunathan and Tom Lawson.

Following the SDS Pub Quiz earlier this year raising money for the Royal Marines Charity, all donations made for their efforts will once again go to this worthwhile cause as well as the Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

If the challenge wasn’t enough, the team have promised to complete the tasks in fancy dress! The more they raise, the more ridiculous the costumes. So far, Baywatch outfits have been mentioned….there will be photographic evidence following the event!

If you’d like to help our guys get around the course and raise as much as we can for the Royal Marines Charity and the Devon Air Ambulance Trust, please visit our JustGiving page at: www.justgiving.co.uk/sdsrmcc and for more information on the charities and the course, go to: www.commandochallenge.co.uk – Thank You!
