SDS Charity Pub Quiz Succeeds Again!

Following the success of last year’s first ever SDS Charity Pub Quiz, the annual event made its return this week, raising money for Children’s Hospice South West.

After moving to a larger venue due to an increase in demand for teams, The Brass Monkey pub in Plymouth proved to be the perfect atmosphere for a busy and fun evening. A total of 26 teams from the engineering and construction industry battled it out for the top prizes and the coveted SDS Charity Pub Quiz trophy. Questions ranging from science and nature to literature, films and music to sport, there was something for everyone as well as spot prizes for quick wins.

Each team donated an item to the impressive raffle prize table, including theatre and rugby tickets, vouchers, tablets and iPads, DAB radios and of course prizes of the liquid kind!

The winners on the night were Stride Treglown, while taking home the equally impressive Golden Plunger was Totus. But the real winner on the night was Children’s Hospice South West, who collected our total money raised – £2,566.
