SDS provided full mechanical and electrical design consultancy for the £2.5 million refurbishment of the Dart Marina Hotel & Spa, a luxury 4-star hotel overlooking Dartmouth Marina and the River Dart. Working closely with Ward Williams Associates as Project Managers and HLM Architects, SDS supported the comprehensive upgrade of the hotel’s common areas and sixteen south wing bedrooms, as well as its boutique spa, fitness suite, pool, steam room, and hot tub.
The refurbishment involved extensive building alterations and modernisation of all M&E systems to improve comfort, efficiency, and guest experience while maintaining the hotel’s premium aesthetic and operational standards. Through detailed coordination and close collaboration with multiple interior designers and architects, SDS delivered technically robust and visually integrated engineering solutions that enhance energy performance and long-term sustainability within the existing building fabric.
