Project Description

Refurbishment & extension of conference facilities at Buckfast Abbey to create a multi-purpose space encompassing conference hall, exhibition space, and theatre/cinema hall

The previous building was suffering from prolonged lack of maintenance. The new space incorporates modern stylish and energy efficiency building services and well as new Photo-voltaic
Panel Installation creating a facility capable of accommodating a range of functions such as performances, art shows, trade shows, social events and educational purposes.

Project Involvement

Design of new mechanical services including heating, ventilation, comfort cooling, domestic water, and above ground drainage

Design of new electrical services including lighting and small power

Thermal overheating analysis to develop ventilation strategies for a densely populated space
