Sexual Health Hub Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske

Project Description

The project is located on the trusts main hospital site and was constructed whilst the hospital continued to operate.

The 1,095m² development is over three floors and comprises a full range of sexual health services including contraception, genitourinary and HIV clinical spaces.

Consultation, examination, treatment, testing and counselling accommodation will occupies the lower two floors. The upper floor is for staff training, teaching, office and welfare accommodation.

£2.5m outpatients’ clinic for contraceptive advice and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases serving the Cornish Community

Project Involvement

Full detailed design of mechanical and electrical systems.

Building load estimate and infrastructure capacity review.

Infrastructure review and site diversions to accommodate the works.

Interconnection to existing site wide security, data, telecoms, fire alarm, BMS and mains infrastructure.

Detailed security strategy to staff sensitive areas.

Full thermal modelling and Part L Compliance calculations.

Provision of Energy Performance Certificate.

Achieving Excellence in Design Evaluation Toolkit (AEDET) review.

Delivered under the NHS P21 mechanism.
