Project Description

The St Columb Veterinary & Equine Care Centre is a 2-storey, 993m² £1.5m veterinary clinic with specialist equine x-ray and operating theatre and 281m² of associated stabling for Penmellyn vets.

Purpose built facility with two x-ray rooms, two operating theatres, intensive care space, offices, dental theatre, sterilisation, farriers and stables along with welfare and waiting and reception accommodation.

£1.5m flagship veterinary and equine hospital including digital x-ra, ultrasound, dental suite and two positive pressure operating theatres complete with piped-gases and oxygen support

Project Involvement

We undertook the complete detailed design of the mechanical building engineering electrical services for this development from initial inception and establishing the room data sheets, through to full and detailed of design of the building mechanical systems.

Close dialogue with the client to gain understanding of their process and system to establishing their brief to achieve.

Specialist advise on system resilience.

Design of operating suite ventilation to achieve pressure regime taking into consideration healthcare standards.
