Project Description

SDS were appointed by Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust to undertake a non-invasive, visual survey and formulate design proposals of the existing services at St Michaels Hospital to improve adjacencies and environments for patients, visitors and staff.

Option appraisals were carried out on the hospital to provide enhanced pre-operative assessment facilities, a sustainable Pre-Operative Assessment Clinic and review facilities for the Neurological Rehabilitation Service.

SDS undertook design proposals working with the integrated design team to produce options suitable to the Trust’s needs.

Working with the design team, cost management and healthcare planning services in order to develop the initial brief and formulate design proposals.
