Improvements were required at Sudbury Hill Harrow station following subsidence of the main electrical services cubicle serving the local power, lighting, security, and PA/VA systems for the station
The Network Rail brief included improving the access, egress, and security to allow on-going maintenance and negate the need for regular de-vegetation of the area
Design included early feasibility reports and identification of further survey works, design appointment gaps, health and safety risks, and viable options for critical client review
Detailed design calculations, sizing of distribution equipment and associated enclosures
GRIP stage 5 detailed design drawings, LV schematics, and specification
Completion of Form 01, 02, 03, and 04
Appointed CRE and regular attendance to design team meeting/IDC’s
Coordination with other disciplines including structural, civils’, and specialist designers
Directly engaged and actively participated in obtaining survey works such as ground penetrating radar (GPR) surveys
Lead MEP engineers liaising directly with Network Rail and wider team members
Coordinated detailed design
Identification and mitigating measures of health and safety risks associated with the design, construction and continued maintenance of the electrical systems
