‘A huge thank you to SDS for their leadership in planning and organising our first ever multi- consultancy practice construction professional work experience placement in Plymouth. The four students from our ‘Adopted School’ Eggbuckland Community College gained the most fantastic experience and insight into the broad range of skills and careers through the design, engineering and surveying process of delivering a real life brief. This was an innovative and creative idea led by the construction professionals which we intend to roll out more widely across the city where we are working together towards positioning construction as a career of choice and showcasing how applying STEM skills are a vital part of building our workforce for the future’.
