SDS delivered a full detailed design of electrical building services for the 37-bed luxury hotel overlooking Mawgan Porth beach in Cornwall, designed to reflect and minimise it’s environmental impact.

The Scarlet Hotel is a £4.5 million, 37-bedroom luxury boutique hotel overlooking Mawgan Porth beach, designed to combine guest comfort with high environmental performance. SDS delivered the full electrical building services design, integrating advanced lighting controls, renewable systems such as a biomass boiler and solar arrays, and energy-saving technologies including grey water recycling and rainwater harvesting.

Working closely with the design and interior teams, SDS resolved space and installation challenges, provided technical guidance on specialist systems, and ensured that sustainable performance complemented the hotel’s luxury experience.
