How We Do It
– We actively reduce our emissions through smart decisions – think green travel policies and energy-saving working habits.
– Any leftover emissions? We offset them. All our offsets are verified through the Carbon Footprint Standard, an internationally recognised scheme.
– In 2021, we raised the bar: we began including staff commuting in our carbon calculations. That means we’ve moved beyond neutral, into Net Carbon Negative territory.
– Our sustainability efforts are independently monitored, tracked, and verified.

Our Toolkit For Change
We don’t believe in one-off fixes – this is a continuous journey. Some of our key steps include:
– ISO 14001 accreditation – setting the environmental management standard for our work
– Installing low-energy lighting, and recycling everything from paper and plastics to food packaging
– Sustainable procurement – choosing goods and services that deliver environmental and social value
– Using frameworks like National TOMs to measure, report, and drive ongoing improvements
– Supporting zero-carbon developments and advising clients and public bodies on carbon strategies
Why This Matters
As a building services engineering consultancy, we’re not just talking the talk. We believe that in reducing our footprint, we set a better standard. And we’re eager to help clients do the same.
We’ve shared our expertise in local and national forums, advising on carbon reduction and supporting funding schemes like Salix. We’ve even led webinars such as the “Future Plymouth 2030” series, in collaboration with universities, local councils, and professional bodies.
