The design allowed integration of a site-wide district heating main, utility upgrades to include a new WPD substation and CHP plant to link the estate to a single supply
Provided communal energy centres with district heating systems. The energy centres were designed as modular units to maximise efficiency on part load performance and allow for future site expansion. Cascade modulating control systems, using heat load control to optimise efficiency were adopted with variable demand driven pumps.
